Rant

The number 1 problem with liberals is their inability to deal with reality. The fact that human nature is to take the path of least resistance when there is nothing in place to show the average person where to go is something the liberals have a hard rationalizing across many issues. In terms of the individual they want to let everything go, if you want to kill babies have at it, if you killed someone then you where a victim at one time and should receive leniency, if you are poor it is because of the man holding you down and never an issue of ones own doing so in short it is all about responsibility and accountability of some. Liberals do not want accountability unless the accountability falls on someone else.

Now, the contradiction that we have is the fact that when libs demand accountability it is normally larger entities like government and business.  It is Businesses fault and Governments responsibility to fix things. Yet all Government and Business entities are made up of individuals and when you base your philosophy around the anything goes freedom of the individual but the accountability of the larger entity of individual you are always going to have a conflict of interest. Hence the issue with Liberals, they want it both ways!

The issue is the rights of Americans and if you chose not to abide by the same rules everyone else lives buy or in this case. I do not approve of my tax dollars going towards the propping of up anyone who does not take responsibility for themselves as a potential American Citizen. My rights as a tax paying citizen affords me the right to voice my approval and disapproval of how that money is spent but that is another problem with Liberals. They want their version of social justice even if it is at the expense of others which is in turn social injustice. You have to leave it up to the individual if to determine how they want to live their life. If someone chooses to break rules then they have to suffer the consequences, not get a pass. If you do not want to work then you have to suffer the consequences, not get a handout. We have to stop the continual lowering of the bar in America. This country has about 300 million people. Way less than half of that number is actually a tax paying American.  Those 100 million are the life blood of our economy and we are constantly squeezing this group tighter every day to do more for the other half and even those who are not even citizens. America will not be able to compete in the World Economy unless we stop this lowering of the bar.  We are competing with countries that have billions of people and those countries are growing in power because of the increased population and the increased industrialization of that population.  China, India and Japan are spitting out engineers while America is spitting out Lawyers.  For every 1 baby born in America there are 6 born in other large countries.  By the time our grandchildren are running this country we will be outnumbered, out manned, out smarted and no longer relevant in this world because we are not asking more of ourselves.

And Republicans are the problem?

Just a test, let me take a look and see who are the economic committees charis that related to financial dealings of congress and where policy, oversight and governance is coming from.

House Committee

http://www.house.gov/house/CommitteeWWW.shtml

Budget Committee-John M. Spratt, Jr. (D)

Energy & Commerce Committee- John D. Dingell (D)

Financial Services Committee- Barney Frank (D)

Joint Economic Committee - Charles Shumer (Chair) (D) Carolyn Maloney (Vice Chair) (D)

Ways and Means Committee - Charles (Taxes, what Taxes) Rangel (D)

Nice bit of partisanship when on government websites we have "Bush Watch" on the house committee website http://globalwarming.house.gov/ and a nice little slide show about economic data points during the bush administration on the house Budget Site http://budget.house.gov/.  And we are expecting these people to work on the behalf of ALL the people regardless of party?

Senate Committees

http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/committees/d_three_sections_with_teasers/committees_home.htm

Appropriations Committee- Robert Byrd (D)

Banking, Housing, Urban Affairs – Christopher Dodd (D)

Budget Committee- Kent Conrad (D)

Commerce Committee – Daniel Inouye (D)

Energy Committee – Jeff Binghamm (D)

Finance Committee -  Max Baucus (D)

So in short, there are your names and direction the finger needs to point at and American voted even more Republicans out of the senate and the house because we are the ones spending money uncontrollably?  If the Democratic chairs can not manage all these rogue pseudo conservatives how can they control their own party that is famous for government waist?  Bush was not the best president but we pulled out of major economic downturns after 9/11 only to collapse 2 years after dems took over congress.  There is a connection and once everyone looks past what the media is feeding them they will understand who where the architects of this disaster

If I was lucky enough to have my own radio, tv show I would be shouting this on the roof tops.  I would make a stinking 2 hour 20/20 special on this fact. I hear the names but I just do not see anyone continuously connecting these worthless Washington frauds until people realize this fact. Republicans have to sleep in the bed that we made but even if we do get our own house in order it will not stop the Democrats from throwing trash in our yard. We have to blitz the media now over the next few months to lay the blame where it belongs and it clearly belongs with the liberals chairing all these failed committees.  We know the names, I want to show the faces, the proof and define their failures before Obama comes into office.  If their backsides are feeling the heat from day one, it might, just might curb their appitite of destruction of democracy as we know it. That way we can keep their damage to a minimum so we can at least regain a few more seats in 2010.  The only thing keeping this country from complete armagedon is a balanced government at this point.  We have until January to make that point since John McCain failed to do so in his 2 year bid for the white house. I hate to say it but John McCain was part of the problem and we the people have to be the solution like we always wind up being.

My Country, tis of thee

AMERICA
My country, 'tis of Thee Lyrics
by Samuel F. Smith - 1832

My country, 'tis of Thee,
Sweet Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountain side
Let Freedom ring.

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills,
My heart with rapture thrills
Like that above.

Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet Freedom's song;
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.

Our fathers' God to Thee,
Author of Liberty,
To thee we sing,
Long may our land be bright
With Freedom's holy light,
Protect us by thy might
Great God, our King.

Our glorious Land to-day,
'Neath Education's sway,
Soars upward still.
Its hills of learning fair,
Whose bounties all may share,
behold them everywhere
On vale and hill!

Thy safeguard, Liberty,
The school shall ever be,
Our Nation's pride!
No tyrant hand shall smite,
While with encircling might
All here are taught the Right
With Truth allied.

Beneath Heaven's gracious will
The stars of progress still
Our course do sway;
In unity sublime
To broader heights we climb,
Triumphant over Time,
God speeds our way!

Grand birthright of our sires,
Our altars and our fires
Keep we still pure!
Our starry flag unfurled,
The hope of all the world,
In peace and light impearled,
God hold secure!

what is wrong with this picture

It is scary how these maps correlate with each other. It just kills me how Democrats keep the poor impoverished all while continuing to paint republicans as the issue. Meanwhile, Obama is raising over $100,000,000 a month for his campaign.

No Matter the outcome

No matter the outcome of this election everyone from both sides has to realize there is another view of what is right.  If McCain wins that does not mean the other 50% of the population loses out for 4 years and I truly believe that would not be the case.  However, with an Obama Liberal administration and Liberal Congress it WILL be a complete disregard of what Conservatives values

The main pillar of this nation is freedom and it comes with a great deal of sacrifice to maintain.  I personally feel freedom is in jeopardy if Obama elected but for some reason there are others who do not believe that the foundation of America is as important as a popularity contest.  It just kills me how we can look past the constant contradictions of Obama and Biden, the countless relationships with turbulent people and the word socialism bantered around but those who do not like McCain "just because" do not bat an eye when Socialism keeps poking it's foot in the door.

Yeah things look bleak here in America "Compared to American Standards.  But our impoverished get fed, gets cloths put on their back and a roof to sleep in (if they chose to take it).  I have lost 2 jobs over the course of 6 years.  I was working for an E-Commerce company that was bought out and moved leaving me looking for a new job during the Christmas holidays, in a city I have only lived in for 6 months hundreds of miles away from where I have spent most of my life.  A few long months later I found a new job as a contractor for a healthcare company.  Well 3 years later the company went through a corporate restructure and did not renew their contractor base.  So once again, I am looking for a job, DURING CHRISTMAS along with hundreds of other IT guys.

During my job hunt I found some subcontract work and made the bills as I was in limbo.  I was lucky enough to find a great job with a great company and work every day to keep a roof over my family's head, food on the table, cloths in the closet and love in our lives.  The moral of the story is, life is hard.  Things get thrown at you in many different directions and it is up to you to fight through it.  I can not count how many times I felt helpless during these times of uncertainty but the one thing I always believed in is that nothing comes to me while I am sitting idle feeling sorry for myself.  It is ok to question why things happen but it is totally selfish to believe bad things only happen to you.

Long story short, it is up to the American people to take the lead and ask the Government to empower us, not entitle.

Are you not seeing what is going on

Forget everything else in the election for one moment and take a look at this.  Obama has raised a staggering record for his compaign yet has not blowm McCain out of the water which is what you assumed would happen.  So just think about this, Obama is using his money and big wigs to win this election on perception, not substance.  For someonew who is for the little guy I wonder how he recieved all this money?

This is just a sign of things to come with this administration.  Gather all the cash, spend at will for their desires.  Their uncontrollable spending for propaganda is just a sign ladies and gentlement and it will be 4 years of this at the very least of this unless you vote for McCain.

It's Simple

It's simple, all I want is representation.  GWB was a very average President put in extraordinary circumstances all while fighting off angry democrats who are still bitter about the 2000 election.  Now they found their media suave poster child for socialism and have successfully painted McCain as a bitter ole man.  I shutter to think what will happen if McCain does win and how the media will immediately turn their cameras on 95% of the black voters who voted for Obama and start screaming race wars.   Yet if Obama wins I fear even more that the socialist views and agenda will create havoc in my life.  I am college educated, work 45-60 hours a week, make pretty good money but it is spread thin since my wife stopped working to stay at home with the kids.  What will happen if the economy gets worse and prices for goods continue to go up and my job is cut?  This is my primary fear that after years of hard work I could be let go and in today's market could lose my house that I have lived in and paid for over the last 5 years could be taken within months.  I have savings, no car notes and a little bit of a credit card but even though my bills are very manageable today, the moment the money stops flowing I could be in trouble quick.

This is why I am scared of the Obama plan.  Obama is trying to vilify the people that make lots of money (who actually employee folks like me).  Not every rich person is a greedy SOB and not every poor person is a victim.  Politicians are pinning class against each other (which many the Democrats are the only one doing this).  In the end, we are all Americans but it is the view of what being American means.  To me being American means that I am free to succeed and my moral make up drives me to help others.  It seems to me that a socialist driven Obama ticket will force the top 5-10% of the wage earners in America to subsidies a way of life for 40% of the non tax paying public.  To me, this is a choice you make, if you chose that making money and living in a mansion is not important then that is 100% fine.  But having an on and off job, living in public housing, not having health insurance for  your family yet driving around in a escalade is poor judgment.  Irresponsibly transcends all race and classes but it seems as though it is becoming more acceptable to forgo your responsibilities as an American because this mentality is becoming a larger voting block and politicians are taking advantage of it.

All I can say is no mater who wins, there will be a large popilation of Americans that still deserve representation. No mater of who win, there are valid views and concerns but there has to be a justified understanding how a new direction may cause others more issues than not.  And when I say justified I mean that if a group of people are affected but for the betterment of the nation as a whole, I want to know what the definition of "betterment" is.  Right now Obama is favoring a tax plan that will give people who do not pay taxes at the end of the year a tax credit.  I pay thousands of dollars a year in income tax and thousands of dollars a year in sales tax.  I want to pay my share but not at the entitlement of others.
